Art in Motion
Flip flops, beach towels, sunscreen watermelon. The list of signs of the summer goes on and on. And it’s hot! Today is the perfect day to ride to the beach, a short walk from our house on the south coast. He is also the perfect day to bring a sketchbook and a half dozen sharpened crayons, instruments to capture the views of miles of the Atlantic on the sand of brown sugar.
I am not a professional artist. I love to create. For me art is not merely formal, real paintings that are hung on walls in museums and works of craftsmanship in my elementary school children. The art is to want to remember the moments, and the means at my disposal to do so. Today is my little “All”, a laptop, I have a small version of the book of sketches by the artist, I find in my bag. I write quotes on funny things kids say, I want to understand the issues more deeply. I also sketch book. Not well, but is not relevant.
For me art is about the process, the very act of switching the right paper and art supplies all right. I am a snob self-sufficiency admitted: I use only a No. 2 pencil and take “The Lessere,” as I call it common pencils token found in bags of birthday party treat all parts of the countries. I prefer blue ink to black, but only as a pen. My favorite pen is probably the cheapest on the market that are sold in packs of 10. But I digress.
Today on the beach, life will be held in front of me. The waves come and go, taking with them the sand, seaweed and screaming children to hunting as an ice cream truck rolling blocks.
I thought about it several times. For me, I decided to just live is an art. The Art of Living. As a beautiful masterpiece, my life has a solid foundation, an understanding of the most important thing for me. Living is an art in motion.
